Save Archangel #122

Archangel #122 is the second A-12 reconniassance aircraft to be built and is one of the most fragile due to the extensive use of composites on this airframe. It is currently on display aboard the USS Intrepid museum in New York where the weather and improper care have taken their toll. I and others want to make sure that this part of history doesn't become history itself.

Recent pictures of #122 (Landing Gear)

Here's a new picture of #122's landing gear. Remember that the bottom of the gear door should be about even with the hub of the wheels. Jacking the gear up like this is inaccurate, to say the least. Photo by Jeannette.Posted by Hello
