Why this blog is here...

Archangel 122 is an A-12 jet aircraft developed in the 1960s under tight secrecy for the CIA by Lockheed. Unfortunately, this particular aircraft has fallen into a state of disrepair and neglect at the USS Intrepid museum in New York. I and others feel that this is a tragedy as this aircraft is an irreplacable piece of history that should be properly preserved for posterity. Please take a few minutes to check out the links here and decide for yourself what should be done.

Aviation historian Jeannette Remak is the first person to start the crusade to rescue the A-12 in NYC. She was the first one to tell about the airplane's problems. She spent years trying to fix the problems with the airplane and suffered health problems for her work. She and her coauthor J. Ventollo wrote the A-12 Declassified book because of this. Now they're working on another one, but they have a lot more writing to do.
